Cyber Essentials can take a day to complete the initial questionnaire if we have all the necessary information about your school\business.
Sometimes though, this can take a little longer and take a couple of weeks, for example, if a workstation is running Windows 7 which is now no longer supported by Microsoft, this is an automatic failure and will need to be rebuilt or your school\company doesn’t have MFA, this is an automatic failure as well, and we can help you look into ways of mitigating this and getting this set up, which of course will delay the submission of the formal questionnaire.

Cyber Essentials Plus
Cyber Essentials Plus is the next level of this accreditation.
Whereas the Cyber Essentials required you to fill in technical details about your IT environment and servers, this assessment will conduct a technical audit of your systems (external and internal scan of your network).
They will access your servers and run scans to ensure they are all patched up to date with no open vulnerabilities and check that malware is protected correctly.
This assessment is a much more hands-on, in-depth certification that will look at your whole network.
